Catch details for week ending April 28. Day ticket: Fewston 23, Swinsty 6, Thruscross 2. Total fish caught: Fewston 155, Swinsty 25, Thruscross 7. Average per rod: Fewston 6.7, Swinsty 4.2, Thruscross 3.5. The heaviest fish caught this week was a 4lb 8oz rainbow trout by Mark Rayner (Otley), using mallard and claret. Fewston: introduced cold water has kept trout sitting deep. Mainly lures used to tempt fish into feeding. Swinsty: water level is back to full so fish moving back to feed on newly flooded areas where fly life is hatching. Thruscross: another difficult week to test wild brown trout anglers. Fish can be seen feeding close to the banks as fly hatch off.
