We have an inshore trip to Whitby on Wednesday, January 25 aboard Richard Ward’s boat “Shytorque 2000”. Anyone wishing to go should telephone Dave Kitchingman on 07711-987833 to book your place. It is with sadness that the association has to announce the death of Brian Butterworth, a long-serving committee member, who died on Christmas Eve. He will be greatly missed. Some good catches of pike and bream are being caught on the canal. One member caught five pike in a session, the best three being 14lb, 13lb and 9lb 15oz. Members are reminded that to fish association waters in the new year, a 2012 yearbook must be purchased before fishing. Knotford Lagoon is fishing well for bream up to 5lb. Milby Cut Canal is fishing well for roach and perch on maggot or bread punch.
