Sunday’s open match at Cowthorpe went ahead despite the river levels being up. It was won by Bob Newby with 9lbs 3oz of chub and grayling. James Vickerman finished second followed by Pete Vickerman and Ian Bradley. The next open match is at Cowthorpe on January 8. 2012 yearbooks will be available online at www.bradfordno1.com or from the Ticket And Licence Secretary from this weekend (posted the next day) or from tackle shops during the week. Milby Cut Canal and the River Ure in Boroughbridge are fishing well for quality roach to over a pound. Raskelf Lake is fishing well for silver fish on maggot with nets into double figures being caught.
BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC
The club’s general meeting is on Tuesday at the New Inn, East Bierley, starting at 8pm. New members will be made welcome. The meeting is also the club’s giant Christmas raffle, where everybody brings a prize, and a buffet will be laid on.
HEWENDEN AC
Last Sunday’s Christmas Cheer match results: 1 Nigel Bower 5lb 13oz, 2 Bob Kemp 2lb 6½oz, 3 Ian Fieldhouse 2lb 5½oz. This Sunday is Hewenden’s Christmas Cheer pike match. The draw will be at 9am in the car park, £10 all in on the day. Would all members please drive carefully up and down the lane.
BINGLEY AC
Sunnydale Reservoir is still producing good nets of roach. The canal above Five Rise Locks is also worth a try for lots of small roach and skimmers.
