SALTAIRE AA The canal between Dockfield Road swing bridge and Hirst Wood lock is closed on Sunday for an outside match booking. The annual meeting is planned for Monday, November 5, at the Ring O’Bells in Shipley at 7.30pm. Any propositions from the membership are required in writing, with proposer and seconder, prior to the meeting. We need some new volunteers for the committee. Anyone interested should come to the meeting. Contact the general secretary on 01274-214441 for more information.

LISTERHILLS AA The period of unsettled weather has led to inconsistent results. Small fish are still responding on the canal, including pike to 14lb from Pilley’s on a dead bait. Anglers pike fishing must use a wire trace and be in possession of forceps. Membership is still available until the end of the year at reduced rates, £6 for seniors and £3 for all others. For Sunday’s match, contact 07984-597328. The next Pilley’s match is on Sunday, November 3.

HEWENDEN AC The first pike match at Hewenden will be on Sunday, with a 9am draw in the carpark, £10 all in on the morning. All members more than welcome. Those attending are asked to have the adequate tackle for handling pike. Please remember to bring your club book and EA licence as these will be checked on the morning.

BINGLEY AC Sunday’s match is at Eldwick reservoir, draw 9.30am on the bank. To book on, contact Tony Greenwood on 07971-428678. The AGM is on Tuesday, November 13, at Ryshworth Social Club in Crossflatts, 8pm start. All members are welcome and there will be a pie and pea supper after the meeting.

BRADFORD NO 1 AA Maunby, Gatenby and Catton will all be closed on Saturday for a River Swale Preservation Society match. Chellow Dene and the River Aire at Beal will be worth a visit in the coming weeks for roach on maggot or bread punch. Cowthorpe or Nun Munkton on the River Nidd should also produce some chub once the colder weather sets in. Please could anglers at Knotford remain vigilant and report to the committee anybody damaging the new fence. Anybody caught doing so will be reported to the police and banned from the club.

BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC Members are reminded that the annual meeting is on Tuesday, November 20 in the New Inn, East Bierley, starting at 8pm. Would members please try to attend this very important event. We have a fishing trip to Liverpool on Saturday. There are places left on the trip.
