DEFENDING Division One champions Embassy Police A maintained their perfect record in the Bradford League as a 7-3 victory at Hermits B made it 20 wins from 20 matches.

The Police team's consistency is to be admired and with four matches left, they will be looking for the perfect finish with four more wins.

Tim Dyson has been their leading performer and his latest treble at Hermits took his tally to 49 wins from a possible 51.

That is a superb level of consistency in a very strong section and Dyson looks almost certain to finish at the head of the averages at the end of the season.

John Chew also won three times at Hermits and, along with James Hobson, Shahriar Masoudi and Peter Clarkson, they are within touching distance of their fourth top-flight championship.

Yeadon A were made to work hard for their 6-4 victory at Division One basement club Fastbats A.

Mark Bleakley and Liang Wong took two wins each, while Fred Yeung added a single, as Yeadon moved 5-2 ahead.

Fastbats hit back as Stephen Denny dropped only one game in taking all three singles – and Fastbats narrowed the deficit to 5-4 when Tony Mcgowan beat Yeung 3-2 in the last singles.

But the doubles went Yeadon's way, with Wong and Yeung overcoming Denny and Craig Knowles in four games to seal overall victory.
