CITY of Bradford Esprit are celebrating a first national diving title by one of their members.
Joseph Nicol earned gold as the club, who train at Shipley Pool, competed in the weekend's National Age Group Championships.
The event, held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, is run by Swim England Diving and is the largest national diving competition in the country.
Nicol finished 24 points clear of the field in the boys' B three-metre competition, finishing with a score of 289.60.
It was his second medal of the meet, having also won silver in the boys' B platform event. His score of 229.70 was just behind winner Reuben Brown of Southampton Diving Academy, who scored 229.85.
