TWO Bradford girls have earned places in the Leeds Rhinos Netball High Performance Academy squad.

Hannah Moulds of Oakenshaw and Jaya Krishna, from Apperley Bridge, are among 21 athletes from Yorkshire and the north west to be included.

The High Performance Academy was launched in July and will take advantage of the Leeds Rhinos equipment and staff with the goal of creating some of the best players in the country.

Moulds, who originally played for Loughborough Lightning Under-19s, and Krishna will now get the opportunity to join netball camps as well as work with charities and schools offering the game to young children.

Anna Carter, director of Leeds Rhinos Netball, said: "I am delighted with the player experience these athletes are getting. It will develop them brilliantly.

"This programme will be a game-changer for female sport, as amateur sports learn from professional sports.

"The girls are accessing specialist strength and conditioning, drug awareness, nutrition, individual development planning and other off-court support, as well as a high-quality weekly training session."

Upcoming opportunities will include a defence workshop, an Easter camp and an annual residential boot camp.
