FAST-improving Conor Leathley, from Pudsey, has won a national bronze medal in only his second competition.
The 23-year-old Bradford Amateur Wrestling Club member got on the podium in the 97kg category at the English Championships in Manchester, only being beaten by the London duo of Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Leon Rattigan and Veton Kurshumliju.
Leathley's coach Jimmy Hawthorn said: "Conor has only been training with us for six months and is improving very fast."
Bradford Amateur Wrestling Club hold sessions from 7-8.30pm on Tuesdays at Total Fitness, New Mill Yard, Cross Road, Idle, and Thursdays at Fulinkasan MMA, Floor Four, 114 Sunbridge Road, Bradford.
