BRADFORD'S Jack Stanley achieved gymnastic perfection in winning the Elite Under-12 National finals in Birmingham.

The Immanuel College student, who trains for 22 hours a week with City of Leeds Gymnastics Club, scored tens with two different vaults on his way to winning the title.

Jack, under the guidance of his club's director of performance Dave Murray – who looks after Olympic bronze medallist Nile Wilson – and fellow coach Matt Firth, the 2013 British all-around Bronze medallist, has now become one of only three under-13 boy gymnasts who have been chosen for the Great Britain Elite Performance Squad.

Idle-based Jack, who was only tenth in the same event last year, will now train in squad camps at the Lilleshall National Gymnastics Sports Centre throughout the year.

Apart from winning the national under-12 elite boys' title, he has also won the regional elite event and was second overall in both the English and British Boys' Under-12 Championship, winning the parallel bars on each occasion.
