BRADFORD weightlifter Justine Davis-Hirst has qualified for the World Masters Championship to be held at Heinsheim in Germany next month.
The 49-year-old from Wibsey is in her last year of competing in the women's 45 year age group and qualified first in the 63kg category at the British Masters Championship at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in March with a 56kg snatch and 63kg clean and jerk.
Bradford Weightlifting Club member Davis-Hirst said: "I compete on Saturday, October 1 (4pm local time) but I am not certain how I will fare as I have been ill, so I haven't been 100 per cent."
