Seven-times Bradford billiards champion Mark Hirst was part of a successful Yorkshire side that won the Inter-Counties Billiards title in Derby recently.

Hirst, along with multi-Grand masters champion Steve Crosland from Harrogate and Huddersfield's Matthew Peaker, came through a strong field and defeated Lincolnshire in the final.

Bradford No 2 shared the spoils with a 3-3 draw at Skipton in Division Two of the Yorkshire Inter-District Snooker League, a superb break of 92 being the highlight from Peter Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Bradford No 1 return to action this weekend in Division One when they entertain Sheffield No 2 at Undercliffe Cricket Club on Sunday (7.30).
