CHAMPION teams Bradford No 1 and Bradford No 2 meet on Sunday at Undercliffe Cricket Club (7.30pm) in a mouth-watering start to Division One fixtures in the Yorkshire Inter-District Snooker League.

Bradford No 1 have won the elite division for the past two years and entertain the confident Division Two champions, who are returning to the top flight after several seasons away.

The No 1 side is likely to be unchanged from last season, with captain Kevin Firth, eight-times Bradford champion Wayne Cooper and Mark Slater in their line-up, while the No 2 team could well feature any from four-time Bradford champion Gareth Green, his brother Anthony, Boover Singh and captain Hanif Rafiq.

Both teams should do well this season and will probably be wrestling at the top end of the table.

Spectators should get there early, particularly as the draws are being made between 6.30pm and 7pm for the first rounds of the Bradford Snooker Singles and Pairs.
