| Tommy Hawthorn throws his sister Katie during a practice session |
The remarkable Hawthorn family from Bradford won two gold medals and a silver at the English Olympic Wrestling Championships in Stockton-on-Tees.
Brett Hawthorn defeated the French champion in taking the under-21 70kg class, younger brother Tommy won the under-13 45kg section and sister Katie earned silver in the under-15 48kg category.
Dad Jimmy, no mean performer himself, said: "Brett, who is 17, has moved up a level.
"He has been offered a scholarship to Broomfield High School in Denver, Colorado, with the possibility of a scholarship to an American university afterwards.
"Tommy, who is 12, was as good as ever. He is no longer a brawler but has become a wrestler and uses his aggression in the right way.
"Katie, 14, was mentally stale but she will be back."
The trio are now preparing for the British Championships in Sussex in June, while Jimmy is aiming for the World Championships in September, having won a silver medal last year.
