Bradford & District Sea AC
Our next general meeting will be on Tuesday, February 21 in the New Inn, East Bierley, starting at 8pm. We have a trip to Whitby on Saturday,
February 25. Anyone wishing to go should telephone Dave on 07711-987833 to book their place. Please note that subs are now due, at still only £10 per year. Also members who won trophies last year,
could you please return them at this meeting so we can get them engraved, ready for the presentation evening in March. If there is anyone wishing to join our club, please come and make new fishing
friends at this meeting. You will be made most welcome.
Bradford City AA
River levels are now returning to normal after recent heavy rainfall and catch rates should now begin to increase. The next match is on Sunday on the River Ure at Lower Dunsforth. There are currently two golden pegs which are £100 and £15. Tickets are £15 all in and available from the match secretary on 07875-0275749 or 01423-523368.
Bradford Pals AC
Our first match of the season is on February 26 at Lindholme Lakes (Laurels). The café opens at 7.20am and there is a tackle shop on site. You must use Lindholme feed pellets and have two keepnets. The draw will be at 8.45am as we have also to draw for the club knockout. Can you please contact Andy Clough to book on for both this match, and also for the knockout, before February 12 so that we can confirm numbers with the fishery.
Hewenden AC
Last Sunday’s pike match was won by Steven Willans with 12lb 11oz, 2nd Keith Turner with 11lb 12oz and 3rd was Michael Butler with 2lb 2oz. If any members would like to put any proposals forward for the annual meeting they should do so in writing before March 1. Send all proposals to the PO box address in your yearbook or phone Ian King (number also in your book).
Listerhills AA
The draw for Sunday’s members’ match at Pilley’s Dam is at 8.45am. The gate will be open at 8.30. Some anglers are still attempting to fish using last year’s membership book. Applications for this year’s National Championship – to be held on July 28 on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal – are now required.
Bradford No1 AA
Milby Cut Canal is still producing double-figure nets of roach and perch, including fish to over 1lb on maggot. Catches of bream to 4lb from Shelf Dam have been reported in the last couple of weeks. Widdington Hall is well worth a visit this weekend for large nets of roach on maggot feeder, especially if the still waters are frozen. Cowthorpe on the River Nidd is also worth a visit for nets of chub on float tactics.
Bingley AC
2012 yearbooks are now available. Anyone wanting to fish any of our waters must be in possession of a current yearbook. The draw for Sunday’s match on the River Aire will now take place in car park behind Bingley Arts Centre at 9am. To book on telephone C Dine on 01274-569534 or 07954-781992.
Great Horton AC
