CLAYTON have been crowned winners of the Bradford Four-A-Side Knockout.

Fielding a team of Myles Summers, Joe Bray, Chris Wilson and Barry Turnbull that was a mixture of youth and experience, Clayton defeated Harold Park 124-78 to lift the title for the first time since 2012.

However, although there is no problem with the format of the event, sponsored by Kolorco (Printers), the executive committee are looking at ways they can increase entries for next year.

* LOCAL rivals Hove Edge and Brighouse Sports take part in the final of the Eric Hutchinson Memorial Trophy at Sowerby Bridge Hillcrest on Sunday from 3pm.

Hove Edge probably start as favourites but both teams are strong.

* THE Bradford Champion of Champions (Victor Ludorum Invitational Merit), sponsored by John Summers (Family Butchers), takes place at Clayton a week tomorrow from 1pm.

Invitations have been sent to all the season's competition winners and runners-up. Invitations will also be sent for all Saturday League average winners after this weekend's fixtures.

The Aire-Wharfe Champion of Champions event takes place at Idle on Sunday from 10am, when competition and average winners from this season will be fighting for the end-of-season trophy.

* SKIPTON Craven Bowling Club are running a one-day competition on Sunday, October 22, which is limited to 32 entries.
