Robbie Ellis 21-6 and Mark Cunningham 21-8 helped Shipley Club A defeat Whitkirk 25-5, while Alan Peel 21-9 was the highlight of eight home winners as Clayton A beat Brighouse Sports A 23-7.

Cononley carded their first victory in the top flight with a 21-9 home win over Eccleshill A, with Phil Dowgill 21-9 starring, despite Neil Mylan's 21-9.

Pudsey A went down 17-13 at home to Crossgates, who carded an impressive six winners to inflict a second successive defeat on the champions.

Ladyhill A look strong favourites for a return to the top flight after a 30-0 thumping of Hove Edge B in the Godwin division thanks to Neil Simpson 21-4, Keith Hatzer 21-5, Adam Mellor 21-6, Scott Haynes 21-8, Mally Fowler 21-8 and Steve Cooper 21-9.

Guiseley A had made a good start to the season with two impressive away wins but were brought back down to earth in a 20-10 home defeat by Pudsey B, with Mick Smith's 21-7 the pick of six winners for Pudsey.

Trevor Gasson 21-7 and John Butterworth 21-9 helped Hove Edge A to a 20-10 home victory over Shipley Club B, while Wyke A carded their first triumph by 20-10 over Clayton B thanks to Nigel Wormald 21-8.

Martin Steele 21-7 and Graham Halliday 21-9 helped Akroydon Victoria A to a 20-10 success over Spen Victoria A, despite a 21-7 from Ian Gould.

Brighouse Sports B were 30-0 winners over Drighlington in the Observer third-tier section, with John Bloomer 21-5, John Horsley 21-5, David Stansfield 21-6 and Tony Naylor 21-8 starring for the hosts.

Jenny Miller 21-6 was the pick of seven home winners as Hightown defeated Wyke B 22-8, while Andy Woodhead's 21-7 helped Eccleshill B to a 21-9 win over Hipperholme & Lightcliffe A.

David Hodgson had a 21-7 success for Crowghyll A in a 21-9 defeat at Littlemoor B, with Brian Richards 21-5 and Alan Mazurke 21-9 doing the damage.
