THE experience of Mark Regan (Brighouse Sports) enabled him to win a tight Yorkshire Parks Merit final 21-18 against the underestimated Neil Tordoff (Wyke) at Hove Edge WMC.

Both finalists were in terrific form throughout to emerge from a tough field of 64 entries, and it was a shame that there had to be a loser.

It is also a pity that bowlers don't turn up when the field is so restricted, and Yorkshire Parks need to look at punishing the no-shows.
