DAVE Brook is feeling chipper after the latest Thundersport GP round at Donington Park.

The Bradford rider backed up his third place in qualifying in the GP1 Championship to finish fifth in race one, second in race two and third in race three to lie second overall.

Team Arkoni rider Brook, from Clayton Heights, said: "I am pleased with how Donington went. We got to the bottom of our clutch issue and the bike is now launching off the line perfectly.

"We made a big step forward with chassis stability and throttle connection and, in general, moved the development of the BMW forward.

"I led two races for a significant chunk of the overall race distance and came away with a solid result and points haul, putting me one point behind Lee Williams in second.

"I hope to use everything we have learnt at Donington to hit the ground running at Snetterton at the end of April."
