* THE Spen Floodlit League is almost over, with just a few games remaining in Division One.

Pudsey A have already guaranteed winning the top section, with Shipley Club A looking favourites to take second place.

Farsley A edged Shipley Club B to head Division Two, while Ossett C&AC won Division Three at a canter as they finished 43 points ahead of Brighouse Sports B.

Cleckheaton Sports B won Division Four, edging Pudsey C into second place.

This league proves extremely successful and gives bowlers the chance to play for another six to eight weeks after the regular season finishes.

Massive thanks must go to David Beardsworth of Farsley, who organises and runs the format.
