Newcomers Akroydon Victoria B became Riley League bowls champions, finishing a massive 48 points ahead of also-promoted Salts.

Wibsey B are relegated again after another disappointing season in division six of the Bradford League, winning only three games.

Greengates B and Cleckheaton Moorend both went into the last match level on points, but it was Moorend who survived after a carding a slightly better away result.

Simon McGorlick (Akroydon Victoria) lost only one game as he captured the Riley League averages with an average of +9.27.

Hipperholme & Lightcliffe B, another new team for 2016, took the runners-up spot, edging out Crowghyll B. Relegated to the bottom division are West Bradford B and West Royd.

Peter Barstow (Shelf) won the Field Packaging League averages for the third successive season, proving he should be playing at a much higher level.

Losing only one game – his last match of the season – he finished with an average of +11.35.

John Emmott (Oakenshaw) edged the Mellor League averages with an average of +9.87.
