JUDD Trump, who displayed his fighting qualities on Saturday night at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre, levelled the Eleven30 Series against Ronnie O'Sullivan by defeating him 6-4 the following evening at Preston Guild Hall.

Although the six-venue Snooker Legends series ended 3-3, with O'Sullivan winning the the £30,000 winners-takes-all prize by virtue of scoring ten centuries in the series to Trump's three, both players want to play a decider, either in the United Kingdom or beyond.

O'Sullivan, who made a 141 clearance in the fourth frame in Bradford on his way to a 6-5 victory, said afterwards: "It was good that it was close and that the spectators enjoyed themselves."

The Rocket, who had the vast majority of the fans' support initially, led 5-3, but former UK champion Trump pinched the ninth frame 54-53 on the black and won the tenth on a respotted black after he had trailed 43-7.

However, the only downside from a successful mjksportsevent promotion in Bradford, which attracted a capacity crowd of 1,300, was the quality of the sound system.

Many spectators were unable to hear John Virgo's dialogue during his trick-shot exhibition that preceded the main event – a problem that has surfaced before at the venue – although his words could be heard more clearly when he was commentating on Trump v O'Sullivan.

Former world No 1 Trump tweeted after Preston: "Cracking series with @Snookerlegends really enjoyed it. Ronnie the much better scorer overall tho. Well done @ronnieo147."

O'Sullivan replied: "top man really enjoyed it, keep entertaining people with your style of snooker, they love it."

Trump's manager Django Fung was even more excited, writing: "I’m not sure if I can stand any more of this. So exciting. Bradford was amazing last night, how was tonight?

"This series is different atmosphere, haven’t seen anything like it. You two want to play a decider?"

At Preston, O'Sullivan made breaks of 102 in both the first and fourth frames to lead 3-1 before Trump hit back in his bid to draw the series overall, knowing that would lose the tie-breaker as he wasn't going to make seven centuries in the remaining frames.
