The white rose team took the home match at Eccleshill by three chalks, carding five winners, with the away team edging home by a point at Belvedere to secure a creditable 6-6 draw with only four winners.

* ENTRIES for the Bradford Team Competitions have been disappointing this year and changes have been made.

The first round of the Pairs Knockout, sponsored by Derek Relton, will take place on Friday, July 29, with the second round on Friday, August 12 and the finals (last four teams) on Sunday, September 25.

The Howarth Cup and Supplementary Cup will be played on Friday, August 5, with the finals (last eight teams) of each to be played on Sunday, August 14.

The format of the Four-A-Side Knockout, sponsored by Kolorco (Printers), is being looked at, with the likelihood that the finals date will be put back to September.

Clubs will be notified of draws, venues and handicaps within the next few days.

* THERE is a strong line-up for the first qualifying round of the £5,300 Brighouse Classic, which takes place tomorrow evening.
