NICOLA Adams kicked off her quest to qualify for the Olympics in Rio with victory at the European qualifying tournament in Turkey.
The 33-year-old former Bradford College student, bidding to become the first British boxer to retain an Olympic title in 92 years, eased past Iulia Coroli of Moldova via a unanimous decision.
Leeds-based Adams, who needs to reach the final in Samsun to book her place for Brazil at the first attempt, next faces Sarah Ourahmoune of France in the last eight.
