GODWIN League champions Asa Briggs A have made a quick return to the top flight of the Bradford Saturday leagues, along with runners-up Wyke A.

Asa finished with two away games last weekend, winning 20-10 against Pudsey B on Friday, thanks to Glen McCafferty 21-8, Andrew Heenan and Jason Barker, who both carded 21-9s.

The following day, Asa suffered a surprise 19-11 defeat against relegated Greengates A, with Martin Wilson producing a great 21-4 for the hosts, who managed only their fourth victory of the season.

Wyke A defeated Elland CA&BC 24-6 to gain promotion, with Peter Jagger’s 21-9 being the best of eight home winners.

Guiseley A just failed to pip Wyke to second, despite a great 24-6 win over Pudsey B, helped by a great 21-8 from veteran Graham Oliver.

Eccleshill B and Rufford A both finished with victories, Eccleshill B winning 20-10 at already-relegated Littlemoor B, despite a solid 21-9 from Phil Richards, while Adam Marsden 21-5 and Roger Binks 21-6 starred for the visitors.

Rufford A finished a disappointing campaign with a 24-6 win over Brighouse Sports B, with James Teale 21-4, David Kirkbright 21-6 and Guy Barrie 21-9 doing the damage.

Pudsey A were already Naylor Premier League champions before Saturday’s 25-5 home win over Clayton A, with Ian Shaw’s 21-2 the best of eight home winners.

Last year’s winners Crossgates finished second, despite losing 16-14 at already-relegated Cranmore.

Crossgates had initially won the match 16-14, helped by a great 21-7 from captain Steven Gilroy, only to have fielded an ineligible player, which reversed the result.

Eccleshill A entertained Littlemoor A in what turned out to be a relegation decider, Littlemoor starting with a four-point advantage.

But they were never in the match as Eccleshill won 25-5 to secure their safety and send Littlemoor down.

Ladyhill A could have been dragged into the relegation battle, but finished with a great 17-13 win at Shipley Club A, carding six winners.

Brighouse Sports finished third after an impressive 23-7 home win over Whitkirk, thanks to Hedley Kettlewell 21-5 and Mark Regan 21-7.

Asa Briggs C finished the season off in style with a 30-0 demolition of Bowling B, and with it were crowned Field Packaging League champions. Bowling could only muster a total of 72 chalks as Asa carded an impressive seven single-figure winners – Steven McGrevy 21-1, Michael Sansom 21-4, Jeff Hargrave 21-6, Paula Graham 21-6, Bob Hiley 21-7, Christine Wilkinson 21-7 and Kenny McCafferty 21-9.

Horsforth Woodside B finished as runners-up after a 25-5 home win over Cleckheaton Sports B, thanks to Jeremy Waller 21-5, Colin Davison 21-7 and a 21-0 walkover.

Crowghyll B defeated Horton 20-10 to come third, helped by Peter Storey, Celia Throup and Peter Mitchell, who all carded 21-9s.

Brian Dibb 21-3 and Tony Oldfield 21-6 aided West Bradford B's 25-5 defeat of Shipley Club B, which sent them down, while Hipperholme & Lightcliffe B were 18-12 winners at Shelf, Ken Allen starring with a 21-8 for Shelf while Christine Stoutt replied with a 21-6.

Mellor League champions Farsley finished 2015 in style with a 25-3 win at Queensbury C, with Stuart Brook 21-2 and Graham Womersley 21-7 starring.

Guiseley C and Oakenshaw B both finished on 285 points, with Guiseley gaining promotion after carding more individual winners.

Oakenshaw B ended with a 16-12 win at Bailiff Bridge B, thanks to a 21-7 from Richard Stewart, while Ben Falkingham 21-5 and Gerald Webster 21-9 helped Guiseley C to a 17-11 win at Stanningley B, Derek Wilson replying with a 21-4.

Wibsey C finished with a 26-2 win over Bradford Moor B, with Stephen Bailey 21-4, Roy Lee 21-5, Curtis Brown 21-6, Bill Lightowler 21-6 and Joan Leppla all on top form.

Tyersal B narrowly defeated Greengates C 15-13, with Joan Reid 21-3 starring for Tyersal, while Joshua Rosendale replied with a 21-9.
