LATE replacement Stuart King (Asa Briggs) and Chris Brown (Lower Hopton) were the week three qualifiers in the 2015 Pudsey Classic.

King started with an impressive 21-8 win over Dean Scarth (Hanging Heaton) before taking on 2013 runner-up Greg Smith (West Brom FSC) and coming out on top in style 21-15.

In his final qualifying game, he defeated Jack Clarke (21-13) to make it through to finals night again.

Brown was in terrific form throughout, beating Gordon Bradford (Elland C&BC) 21-13, Paul Mottram (Alverthorpe) 21-9 and Mark Hughes (Crossgates) 21-8.

Qualifying continues tomorrow, with practice from 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Gareth Coates (Halifax) and Harry Seehra (Lower Hopton) were the first qualifiers in the £5,300 Brighouse Classic.

Coates beat Wayne Ditchfield 21-13 in the qualifying game, while Seehra defeated Jack Hargreaves (Hyde) 21-20.

The heats continue tomorrow evening, with previous winner Simon Coupe in action.

Bill Burlinson (Warrington) and Robert Hitchen (Halifax) were week four qualifiers in the 2015 Spen Masters, sponsored by P&I Hopkins Butchers of Birkenshaw.

Burlinson qualified with wins over Kevin Handley (Staffs) 21-12, Roy Nicholson (Halifax) 21-13 and Andy Webb (Wakefield) 21-16, while Hitchen made it through by beating Connor Davis (Crosland Moor) 21-10, Kevin Wainwright (Warrington) 21-20 and Gareth Nicholson (Halifax) 21-15.
