STOCKPORT'S strength in depth eventually told as they won their Northern League cycle speedway fixture 87-61 against hosts Heckmondwike at Firth Park.
Exclusions for the visitors kept the match level at 24-24 by Heat Five but Stcokport crept in front after that.
Scores: Heckmondwike 61 (Mick Knowles 14+1, Darren Kent 13, Adam Watson 12+1, Richard Wells 8, Justin Naylor 8, Chris Summersgill 6), Stockport 87.
However, in the junior match, in-form Heckmondwike won 65-45, with Tom Whitwam scoring 14 and new addition lewis Mann four.
Scores: Heckmondwike 65 (Tom Whitwam 14, Will Naylor 11, Ben Summersgill 11, Declan Summersgill 9, Harvey Wells 9, Bella Naylor 7, Lewis Mann 4), Stockport 45.
Heckmondwike have no racing this weekend but training continues on Wednesdays (7.30pm-9pm) at Firth Park (WF16 0HH, opposite Morrisons petrol station).
