ECCLESHILL A carded an impressive 25-5 home win over Ladyhill A in the NAYLOR PREMIER LEAGUE to end a six-game losing streak.

Paul Rooks and Ian Dewhirst were the pick of eight home winners, both carding 21-5s to help Eccleshill move out of the relegation zone. Cranmore remain bottom, despite a 17-13 home win over fellow strugglers Littlemoor A, helped by a superb 21-8 by Robert King. Paul Bowes showed some fight for the visitors with a 21-7 victory.

Joe Cranston’s stunning 21-2 away win for Crossgates was in vain as seven home winners helped Pudsey A to a 19-11 victory, with Chris Hatton's 21-9 being the best of them.

Shipley Club A v Whitkirk was surprisingly classed as a top-of-the-table clash, with Shipley taking the match 21-9 thanks to a great 21-5 from Tony Bannister. Kristian Walder 21-5 and Paul Hardy 21-9 did best for the visitors.

Brighouse Sports A edged home 17-13 against Clayton A, thanks to Hedley Kettlewell 21-9, with Andrew Tate starring for Clayton with a 21-9.

Wyke A returned to the top of the GODWIN LEAGUE after an 18-12 home win over Eccleshill B, but Guiseley A could only manage a 15-15 draw at home to Elland.

Trevor Benn’s 21-10 victory helped Wyke to a narrow home win, while six home winners for Guiseley was not enough for them to card a victory, as Elland edged the aggregate by a single chalk to ensure a draw.

Littlemoor B shocked Asa Briggs A with a 22-8 win as Ted Laidlaw rolled back the years with a great 21-9 but Clive Foord showed some resistance for Asa with a 21-8.

Struggling Rufford A managed only their second victory of the season, beating Pudsey B 24-6, with Martyn Benson 21-9 the best of eight home winners.

Greengates A suffered another defeat, losing 16-14 at home to Brighouse Sports B, despite wins from Richard Kearns 21-7 and Peter Wilson 21-8.
