FORMER rally driver Luke Pinder was again the dominant force in rounds four and five of the Michelin Clio Cup Road Series at Thruxton.

The Jade Developments racer from Shipley won both races clearly and added the fastest lap on each occasion to extend his 100 per cent record.

Seeing off first-time pole-starter John Creasey at the beginning of each contest, Pinder controlled both races from the front but the battle for the remaining podium places in each race was highly entertaining.

Pinder said of his weekend: “Let’s hope it stays like this – we’re aiming to try and win every one if we can, and the guys at Jade have done a spot-on job again with the car."

Croft in North Yorkshire will host rounds six and seven over the weekend of July 11-12.

Standings: 1 Luke Pinder, 170pts; 2 Jake Honour, 130; 3 Nic Harrison, 122; 4 Matt Fincham, 105; 5 Tyler Lidsey, 97; 6 Sarah Franklin, 88.
