BRADFORD No 1 AA

Result of Sunday's members' match at Cowthorpe: 1 Paul Royston 20lb 4oz (four barbel on ledgered meat), 2 Pete Vickerman 13lb 12oz, 3 Ian Newby11lb 9oz (two barbel), 4 Mick Whalley 10lb 14oz (three chub), 4 James Vickerman 10lb 11oz. The next members' match will be at Nun Monkton on Sunday, July 12, with tickets available from Simon on 01274-571175. The first junior match of the year will be at Raskelf tomorrow, with free entry for junior members and plenty of prizes available. Please could Reece Harrison or his family contact Simon on the above number regarding the Tiddler Trophy. Raskelf will also be closed on Sunday for the committee match, which draws at 9.30am. Anybody wishing to enter a team of eight into this year's Calder League, which begins on Sunday, July 5, should contact Simon. Knotford is continuing to fish very well, with carp in excess of 20lb, bream to 10lb and tench to 8lb being regularly caught. Thornton Bridge on the River Swale is producing good catches of chub and barbel.

SKIPTON AA

Result of last week's open evening match on Whinnygill Reservoir (fished in reasonable conditions, catches mainly of smallish perch): 1 Michael Ickringill 1160g (2:9:0), which included a decent carp and three perch; 2 Alan Wade seven perch for 560g (1:3:12); 3 Simon Chenior 360g (0:12:12); 4 Andrew Leatt three perch for 150g (0:5:4), yet only two days earlier in the Sunday morning club match he caught about 40 roach and perch for over 4090g (9:0:0). There will be another evening open match next Tuesday at the same venue, draw 6.30pm with fishing from 7pm-9.30pm or later depending on the weather. Full details from Malcolm Mawson on 01756-94022. The Craven Summer League have their fifth match in the series of eight on the canal at Barnoldswick this Sunday on the Long Ing stretch, draw 7am, fishing 8am-11am.

WASHBURN VALLEY FISHERY

Catch details for week ending June 21 – Day ticket: Fewston 30, Swinsty 5; total fish caught: Fewston 165, Swinsty 70lb. Average per rod: Fewston 5.5, Swinsty 14lb. Heaviest fish caught was a 4lb 10oz blue trout by P Russell using mayfly. Fewston: Trout taking mayfly, nymph and, when less windy, rising for dry fly. PTN and GRHE have both produced fish. Swinsty: Now officially coarse fishing. Full £7.50, concessionary £6 (OAPs and under-16s), coarse/fly/spin. No fish to be taken. Thruscross: Brown trout happy as Larry feeding on nymph and buzzers with no anglers to bother them!

LEEDS ASA

Result of the Saturday open at Kippax: S Raper (71lb), 2 A Barker (62lb), 3 P Clark (59lb). The final match of the Moor Monkton Pools spring series, which was fished by 30 anglers, was won by D Pollit (107lb), 2 N Rymer (100lb), 3 A Barker (96lb). The Tuesday match at Kippax Park was won by S Pearsons (91lb), 2 N Rymer (60lb), 3 R Roberts (54lb). The Wednesday open at Moor Monkton Pools was won by K Heaton (93lb), 2 G Miller (72lb), 3 A Gallant (63lb). Pleasure anglers will be able to take advantage of the late hours' finish on the club river fisheries now that the course season has opened.

HEWENDEN AC

Result of last week's midweek match: 1 Julian Harrison 2lb 12oz (peg 23), 2 Eddie Harrison 1lb 12oz (peg 25). The next midweek matches will be on July 8 and 15 but unless more members are able to attend then unfortunately no more will be run in 2015. Fish are being caught on the pole and on long casts on the tip using maggot and casters. There are problems with the massive increase of both lilies and weed on virtually all pegs. However, members are welcome to rake out any peg to gain access to fish. The shallows are now open as the fish should have finished spawning.

LISTERHILLS AA

Best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Bill Barker, who has been recently discharged from hospital. The draw for the Tuesday evening match at Pilley's is at 5.30pm. The next members' match is on Sunday, July 5. Roach are still proving elusive on stretches of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. The match run by Leeds Angling Centre was won with a mixed catch weighing 3lb 8oz by R Thorne, 2 J Mason (1lb 7oz), 3 B Mason (1lb).

CENTRAL AC

Result of our match at Brafferton on Sunday: 1 A Hird 62lb, 2 J Wharfe 36lb 4oz, 3 R Wharfe 33lb, 4 D Davey 23lb. Our next match is at Oakland Waters on Sunday, July 5, meet at venue 8am, fishing 9am-3pm, keep-nets and landing nets provided.

GREAT HORTON A

Result of Sunday's match on Cedar Lake at the Oaks: 1 A Hillary 30lb 11oz, 2 O Hudspith 28lb 14oz, 3 P McCabe 21lb 7oz, 4 K Nouch 19lb 6oz. Weather was sunny and overcast but stayed fine, although strong crosswinds made pole fishing difficult.

CLAYTON AC

Tomorrow's match at Tollerton is on Kingfisher and Coot lakes, draw 8.45am, fishing 10am-4pm, keep-nets provided by the fishery. Would all members please familiarise themselves with venue rules. On-site cafe open from 7.30am.

BIERLEY AC
