DANNY 'The Hurt' Stirk won the vacant Budo British bantamweight mixed martial arts title in just 47 seconds.

The Keighley fighter landed a body kick, dropping his opponent, and followed up with a 'ground and pound' to advance his record to 5-0.

The success for Bradford-based Team Fulinkazan, one of the country's most successful outfits, came at the Budo Mixed Martial Arts event at Bolton, where teenage brothers Tom 'The Heat' and Callum 'Cookie Killer' Mullen were also impressive victors.

Tom, making his mixed martial arts debut aged 14, won in under two minutes with a triangle choke, while 16-year-old Callum beat a tough opponent 5-0.

Freddie 'Chaos' Quek-Richards, who took his fight at a week's notice, lost to a talented fighter from Liverpool in a great back-and-forth fight.

Meanwhile, Wyke's Ben 'Bad Man' Bennett, who is also a member of the Sunbridge Road club, defeated Fightstar middleweight champion Daniel Cassell in the first round via a choke-hold submission in BAMMA 21 – the biggest mixed martial arts event in the United Kingdom – at Birmingham.
