“Just to get the opportunity to be around such high-profile names from various sports is fantastic and I am really looking forward to next year and attending the Jaguar events.

“My SportsAid award is a great help towards funding my training and competing.

“I travel to Doncaster to train with my club Ultimate Taekwondo and to Manchester to practise with the GB junior squad.

“Most top-class competitions are in Europe.

“Last year I have been to Belgium, Spain, Romania and Croatia. Competing in these events is extremely expensive.”

To cap off a fantastic season, the 15-year-old was named Junior of the Year at her club, where she has flourished under coach Kathy Hook.

In her first year at junior level, she has won a world bronze medal in Tapei and was crowned British and Commonwealth champion.
