JOHN-Luke Hutchinson and Ellen Winters spearheaded City of Bradford Swimming Club's medal hunt in the Sheffield City B Grade long-course meet at Ponds Forge.

City sent their emerging talent and 13-year-old John-Luke won the 50 metres breaststroke and was third in the 100m breaststroke.

He also had five other top-ten finishes, while Ellen had six in addition to triumphing in the 14 years' 50m freestyle.

Also swimming as a 13-year old, Esme Pearce looked impressive when finishing second in the 100m breaststroke, third in the 100m freestyle and eighth in the 50m backstroke.

Ella Jones, 13, rose to the occasion in the 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly, taking home bronze in both, and had two further top-ten finishes.

Other bronze medallists were Louie Dove in the 11 years' 50m freestyle and Alex Medd in the 14 years' 50m breaststroke, Medd taking a further four top-ten places, while Dove finished ninth in the 100m freestyle.

Other top-ten placings went to Eleanor Hydleman (5), Sam Akers (3), Ellen Woodger (2), Holly Bairstow (2), Lucy Adeniji (1) and Jelena Lugonja (1).
