The next coarse match is the Christmas Cheer match on Sunday, December 14, £10 entry, 9am draw in the car park. Only members who have fished three coarse matches this year can enter. The potholes on the approach road have now been filled – a big thank you to all those involved in the work.

BRADFORD No1 AA

Raskelf will be closed on Sunday for the first round of this year's Raskelf Winter Series, which draws at the Golden Lion at 9am. Tickets are still available for the open match at Cowthorpe on Sunday, December 14 from Simon on 01274-571175. Membership for 2015 will be available from the back end of this month at all the usual tackle shop agents or online at www.bradfordno1.com. Gratrix is fishing well for roach, chub and ide on maggot or bread and waggler on pole.

BINGLEY AC

Our Christmas Cheer match will be held on the River Aire in Myrtle Park on Sunday, draw 9am in the Ferrands Arms car park. Pegs are limited, so call Tony on 07971-428678. Congratulations to club chairman Paul Kitching on winning the first annual competition for the Bruce Howard Specimen Cup, which was presented to him at the annual meeting. The winning fish was a10lb 3oz common carp, which Paul caught from Coppice Pond on light-float fishing tackle in August.

BRADFORD SEA AC

Our next meeting is the Christmas Cheer on Tuesday, December 16 at the New Inn, East Bierley. Will everybody who attends donate a prize to the giant raffle, so that everyone gets a prize. There will also be a buffet, wives or girlfriends are welcome. Our last trip was an inshore to Whitby aboard Shytorque, with many fish being caught.
