LISTERHILLS AA

Members fishing at Pilley’s have met with mixed results. Carp weighing up to 13lb have been caught, with two or three per session for some anglers while others have blanked. A group of juniors were shown how it is done by five-year-old Harvey Murtagh. In the members’ match, E Harrison was the winner with a catch of perch weighing 3lb 10oz, with D Jackson (2lb 6oz) second and G Reeday (1lb 3oz) third. Final positions in the aggregate weight trophy: 1 E Harrison 66lb 6½oz, 2 J Storey 44lb 12oz, 3 D Jackson 31lb 8oz. Complaints regarding litter have been received and anyone caught will be expelled without further notice. The length of the canal at the Kirkstall marina is still producing good catches of perch. Last Sunday’s open match was won by R Storey with 8lb 5oz. Matches will be held every Sunday, opening at 9am. Contact 01132-639333 for details.
