UPCOMING professional boxer Darren Tetley has no time for trash talk.

The Holme Wood welterweight, who knocked out journeyman Jason Nesbitt last time out in Leeds, is back in action at the Doncaster Dome on November 29.

It will be the unbeaten Tetley's fourth outing as the former gifted amateur continues his gradual education in the pro ranks.

Tetley admits he is still learning plenty of tricks of the trade –but bad-mouthing opponents won't be one of them.

He said: "I'm never going to be one of those fighters who calls someone out. That's just not me.

"It makes no sense. Just get in the ring and fight – that's when the truth comes out and you find out who's the better man.

"You don't go in the gym to practice your talk, so what are they getting out of it?

"If someone gives me a bit of stick, I'd probably give a bit back, but not in the fashion they do now. It's too personal.

"You can never work out if it's for real or just fake for the cameras. I don't think it does boxing any favours."

Tetley is developing his game after quitting work to box full-time and now trains two or three times a day.

His progress has been noted by former world amateur champion Joe Murray when he sparred the Manchester pro last weekend.

"We'd sparred a year ago and Joe was saying that I've got a lot stronger," said the Bradford fighter.

"I feel I'm improving and just being around people like that and his brother John can only help me.

"It's early days and I don't need worry about training camps or anything like that. I don't know who I'm fighting next but I don't think that matters at this stage.

"I find that's the best way to deal with it because I haven't got someone on my mind constantly. As long as I prepare right, I'll fight whoever is put in front of me."
