CITY of Bradford's Chris Brown produced some excellent performances to win three titles at the British Gas Masters and Senior Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Brown's gold medals came in the 60-64 years age group in the 50, 100 and 200 metres backstroke events in times of 32.69sec, 1min 11.63sec and 2min 42.56sec respectively.

The Sutton-in-Craven veteran also competed in the 50m butterfly, finishing fifth in 32.10sec.

City of Bradford newcomer Peter Geaves had two top-ten finishes in the 30-34 years age group – in the 400m individual medley, where he was fifth, and the 400m freestyle, in which he was tenth.

His times were 5min 23.85sec and 4min 44.19sec respectively.

Both swimmers are members of Bradford Council's sport and leisure service coaching and swimming training scheme.
