Chris Melling won one match and lost one in the Bulgarian capital
CHRIS Melling was beaten 4-1 by eventual semi-finalist Peter Ebdon in the fifth round of the Victoria Bulgarian Open in Sofia.
The Keighley potter only won the second frame and conceded 190 straight points as he was nilled in frames three and four by the former world champion, whose top break was 121.
In the fourth round, Melling defeated Poland's Grzegorz Biernadski.
The 21-year-old led 2-1 before The Magician won three straight frames, making a break of 51 in the fifth.
