SIXTEEN City of Bradford swimming club members from the national potential and junior development squads travelled to Loughborough University for a pre-season training weekend.
The swimmers were housed in the university's halls of residence and gained valuable experience in and out of the water, such as an insight into what life is like on campus.
Three training sessions were held during the camp at the state-of-the-art Loughborough University pool, and on the Saturday the City of Bradford teenagers used the gym facilities for a warm-up session prior to the pool session, where they were coached by City of Bradford's Sarah Fisher.
The following day, former City of Bradford coach Ian Armiger, now a coaching consultant at the university, gave the swimmers a tour of the campus' sports facilities and talked to them about life on campus as an athlete.
During the swimming session which followed, Ian was joined by Olympian Amy Smith who later signed autographs.
