A DOZEN youngsters from the Bradford area have been named in the Horizon Taekwondo Academy team for the British National Championships later this month at Manchester Velodrome.
Cullingworth's Ellie Bowden and Hannah Priestley, Baildon's Zak Spencer, Allerton's Kisler Flores and Silsden's Jamie Simpson-Kidd will compete in the cadet advanced category on Saturday, September 20.
Fellow Cobbydaler Charlotte Banks is in the junior novice section the following day., alongside children novices Paige Harris (Cottingley), Emily Owen (Shipley), Hannah Perry (Buttershaw) and Luke and Adam Cassere from Baildon, and senior novice Jon Cassere (Baildon).
Horizon have named 17 athletes from their squad of 45, including 12 on their national debut, with Jamie, 12, and Ellie, 13, being Great Britain cadet development team members.
About 700 athletes are expected to compete in all.
