Three City of Bradford members qualified for the National Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

Freestyle specialist Eva Chapman, swimming in only her second 'national age group', notched personal-best times in the 200 metres and 800m, her final standings being 29th and tenth respectively.

Her other two swims were in the 100m and 400m in which she placed 35th and 22nd.

Also swimming as a 13-year-old, emerging talent Myles Stirk finished 18th in both his events - the 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley. The medley time of 2.25.52 was a life-time best for Stirk.

Breaststroke specialist James Dawson, swimming in the 17-18 years age group at the National Youth Championships, claimed 25th place in a best time of 1.08.14 in the 100m.

All the swimmers train with Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme under the guidance of head coach Andy Pearce and development coach Sarah Fisher.
