BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration and former Test cricket umpire Harold Dickie' Bird will officially open Bradford Grammar School's £1.6 million sports pavilion next Wednesday (12.30).

The project has taken almost two years and, with the rebuild complete, the school believe they now have one of the most striking and modern facilities of its kind in the country.

Other guests include Yorkshire County Cricket Club vice-president Geoff Cope, Bradford Council chief executive Tony Reeves, and Phil Barker, who is assistant director of leisure services for Bradford Council.

Completing the list of notables are the High Sheriff of West Yorkshire Roger Bowers, who is a former pupil, and the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Robin Owens, and the Lady Mayoress, Janet Owens.
