Eddie Johnson's second goal in four days rescued a point for City against a lively Barnet.
The London side had the better of the first half with Scott Loach forced into action to keep out a one-on-one from Adam Birchall.
But he had no chance after 23 minutes when the defence failed to react after Anthony Thomas blasted against the bar. Birchall latched on to the rebound and carefully placed his shot in the bottom corner.
It could have been worse as Thomas got clear in the box just before half-time but again Loach stood strong to bat his shot away.
Stuart McCall replaced Omar Daley with Luke Medley at the break and City were far better in the second half.
And they were level with 15 minutes left after Medley's shot was turned behind for a corner. Colbeck's kick to the near post was headed home by Johnson.
Both sides had chances in a lively finish. Willy Topp almost scored for City and Barry Conlon had a header saved.
CITY: Loach, Starosta, Wetherall, Bower, Heckingbottom, Colbeck, Penford, Nix, Daley, Johnson, Conlon. Subs: Williams, Rhodes, O'Brien, Topp, Medley.
