JAKE Lehmann fell in the last over of the opening morning to hand Somerset a definite advantage by lunch at Headingley.
Yorkshire have gone in at 86-4 in the 33rd over.
Lehmann, with 31, had led a counter-attacking recovery from loss of three early wickets, with the reigning Specsavers County Championship title-holders slipping to 39-3 in the 18th over after electing to bat.
Alex Lees was caught at first slip for a two-ball duck at the end of the first over from Craig Overton, who also had Gary Ballance caught at third slip by a juggling Lewis Gregory.
Jim Allenby later had Adam Lyth caught behind before Lehmann, dropped on nought by Gregory, and Andrew Gale frustrated the visitors in bowler-friendly conditions.
Lehmann hit Tim Groenewald for three fours in as many balls in the 23rd over, with Gale taking a back seat on the way to 29 not out.
But the Australian top-edged a pull at Peter Trego's seamers to square-leg at the start of the 33rd over.
