ADIL Rashid and Tim Bresnan have boosted Yorkshire with an unbroken century partnership for the sixth wicket on day one against Lancashire at Headingley.
The clash of the reigning Specsavers County Championship champions and current leaders looked to be going Lancashire’s way after five morning wickets, leaving the score at 74-5.
Rashid and Bresnan, however, have batted through the afternoon unbroken to take the score to 201-5 from 64 overs at tea.
Rashid, on 85, is closing in on a third Roses century and his second in two matches following one at Emirates Old Trafford in late 2014.
Bresnan will resume after tea unbeaten on 60.
The pair reached their fifties off 86 and 113 balls respectively.
