ALEX Lees’ composed 75 has underpinned Yorkshire’s challenging total of 277-9 in today’s Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Leicestershire at Headingley.
Lees hit five fours in 110 balls, and shared an 80 stand with Andrew Hodd for the first wicket, 49 for the second with Glenn Maxwell and 69 for the third with Will Rhodes, who made 46.
Yorkshire, who lost the toss, will be frustrated at not taking full advantage of a platform of 198-2 in the 36th over as Clint McKay claimed three wickets and Rob Taylor and Ben Raine two apiece.
But they will still be confident of strengthening their grip on a quarter-final place with a fourth win from six in Group A.
