YORKSHIRE continued their push for a win inside three days against Worcestershire as they took regular wickets at Scarborough.

The hosts were able to enforce the follow-on as they carried a 150-run lead forward from the first innings and they then reduced the visitors to 121-4 at tea second time around.

Having picked up the wicket of Richard Oliver in the morning session for 14, the Tykes went in search of more wickets but struggled to create opportunities.

It was not until Jack Brooks was introduced into the attack that they eventually struck in the afternoon as Tom Fell, who was dropped by Alex Lees when on nought, top-edged a hook when on 23 and Jonny Bairstow took a simple catch behind the stumps.

Opener Daryl Mitchell further defied the Yorkshire attack but his 102-ball innings came to an end as he edged Brooks to Lees at first slip to fall for 25, before Adil Rashid bowled Joe Clarke for 21.

That left Brett D’Oliveira and Ross Whiteley to see Worcestershire through to tea still 29 in arrears.

Earlier in the day, two wickets for Rashid and a first wicket in the match for Ryan Sidebottom looked set to bring the Worcestershire first innings to a swift end.

But some lusty blows from Saeed Ajmal lifted the Pears to a final total of 280, although they came up one run short of avoiding the follow-on as Tim Bresnan bowled the Pakistan international for 37.
