KANE Williamson and Aaron Finch are Yorkshire's top overseas targets for 2015.

The pair, stars of this season's LV= County Championship win, will be welcomed back should their respective boards make them available.

New Zealand and Australia tour England next summer but director of cricket Martyn Moxon says their availability remains unclear for now.

As for other incomings, it is difficult to tell what Yorkshire will need come the start of next season because a lot depends on England's touring squad for the West Indies next April and May.

Adam Lyth, Adil Rashid and Jonny Bairstow could all be selected.

There has been a gap created by the departure of off-spinner Azeem Rafiq but Moxon insists Karl Carver will be given every chance to step up as their second spinner.

If it transpires that Carver is not ready, only then will a more experienced spin signing be considered.

James Middlebrook, who has played Bradford League cricket for Bowling Old Lane and Pudsey Congs and was recently released by Northamptonshire, has already been ruled out.

"We want to try and keep Kane and Aaron with us as much as they're available but we don't know yet what their availability is," said Moxon.

"There is a possible time for Kane to be available at the start of the season before the New Zealand tour but we don't know exactly. Finchy is hoping he'll get in the Ashes squad but again we don't know.

"If they're available, we'll definitely have them back. If we can't, we'll have to look at other options.

"In terms of other gaps, we want to promote from within. We want to work with Karl Carver and batters Jonny Tattersall, Will Rhodes and the likes, and the young seamers Fisher, Shaw, Wainman and Coad.

"At this moment, we want Karl to fill the gap if Rash is not available. If we get closer to the season and we've got a gap, we'll have to view it."
