Yorkshire were under the cosh against Somerset at tea on day two of their County Championship clash at Headingley.
Nick Compton and Marcus Trescothick both hit half-centuries in a commanding reply of 196-2 from 57 overs after the hosts were all out for 253.
While Trescothick made 66, Compton was 85 not out and Tom Abell unbeaten on 29.
Trescothick and Compton shared 108 for the second wicket, with the only wicket to fall in the afternoon being Trescothick caught at slip off Joe Root’s third ball. The Yorkshire skipper only bowled one over.
