Three wickets in the last half hour of the morning have put Yorkshire in the box seat at lunch on day three of their LV= County Championship match against Durham at Headingley.

Durham, in response to Yorkshire’s first-innings 426, have reached the break at 119-5 from 52 overs.

Left-handed opener Keaton Jennings reached a 122-ball fifty on the way to 56, and had shared 49 for the third wicket with Michael Richardson, before falling caught at second slip off Steve Patterson, leaving the score at 109-3 in the 47th.

And when Tim Bresnan trapped Gordon Muchall lbw at the end of the next over, Durham were 116-4.

Adil Rashid was re-introduced to bowl the last over of the session, and he had Richardson caught and bowled for 23 off the last ball of the session.

Ryan Sidebottom had claimed the first wicket to fall when he had Scott Borthwick caught behind by Jonny Bairstow with a beauty, leaving the score at 60-2 in the 25th over. Paul Collingwood is unbeaten on two.
