Baildon gain revenge victory over Leeds Sikh

Last Sunday’s new Dales Council League Division A leaders Leeds Sikh again met Baildon yesterday but the result was reversed.
Baildon scored 118 (Harcharan Seehra 7-15) and Leeds Sikh were surprisingly bowled out for 98.
New leaders New Wortley (122-5) beat Hepworth & Idle (120) for the second time in a week.
Hyde Park are joint third after scoring 111 before bowling out nine-man Apperley Bridge for 84, both teams having 148 points.
Hawksworth (88-8) won at bottom-placed Crompark (87), while next-to-bottom Halifax Direct (117) beat Savile Stars by 43 runs.
Last week’s Division B leaders Farnley Hill (77) were beaten at Adel (138), allowing Apperley Bridge (88-5) to go top by beating Pudsey Congs (84, Navin Bose 58).
Pudsey St Lawrence (112-9, Shahid Bhatti 52no) won by one wicket at Drighlington-Whitehall (107) but bottom placed Hepworth & Idle are still winless after being bowled out for 60 (Rob Guest 5-16, Oliver Ozols 4-12), home team Meanwood triumphing by eight wickets.
With Tong Manor having a bye (dropping from second to fourth), Thornbury held Cookridge to 130-9 after scoring 136-8 (Imtiaz Ahmer 51).
The leading quartet in Division C won, with leaders Tong Park Esholt scoring 136-5 (Lee Burke 51) to pass Savile Stars’ 135 (Ismail Patel 66), increasing their lead to 28 points.
Second-placed Farsley bowled Crompark out for 45 and won by six wickets, while third-placed Undercliffe (68-6) beat Leeds Sikh B (67) and fourth-placed Thornbury (71, Zubair Zahid 4-22) won a low-scoring game by eight runs against Cookridge (63, Masood Akhtar 45, Ray Kerfoot 4-10).
Division D leaders Baildon B (186-6) easily beat ten-man Cookridge 91 (Mounam Ejaz 64, James Cottle 4-20), while second placed Pudsey St Lawrence (36-2) were comfortable winners after bowling out Wibsey Park Chapel for 33.
Pudsey Congs (79-5) moved third after bowling out bottom club Baildon C for 77, and Shipley Providence scored an impressive 201-8 (Humare Amjad 116) to win easily by bowling out Drighlington-Whitehall B for 55 with skipper Stuart Horrell taking 5-24.
